The force that through the green fuse drives the flower

Drives my green age

-Dylan Thomas

Urge and urge and urge,

Always the procreant urge of the world.

-Walt Whitman

I want

To do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.

-Pablo Neruda

Bare shoulders have returned to street corners and catcalls from construction sites have resumed. The playgrounds sing with unleashed children and tree limbs burst with white buds.

From last issue’s meditation on Shelter we emerge from our winter caverns and out into the vernal landscape. Light and life welcome us back and in response we celebrate Eros as our theme for this month’s issue of Glasschord.

Appropriate to the celebration of the god we are fortunate to be joined by a number of new female voices. We also have the privilege of featuring new work from England, Australia and Bulgaria along with both new and returning artists from here in the U.S.

In anticipation of next month’s theme of Incantations we invite all musically minded readers to consider submitting whether the piece be audible, literal or visual. We hope you will continue to help us proliferate the Glasschord project and as always we thank you for your feedback.
