Bonnie Rychlak has an active career as an artist and curator. As an artist, she has presented work in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, she has received numerous grants and residencies. They include a National Endowment for the Visual Arts grant and funding from the Massachusetts Arts Council for the Arts, a fellowship from the Rockefeller Foundation for a residency at the Bellagio Study Center in Italy, and The Prix de Rome at the American Academy in Rome. In 2009 she attended the American Academy in Rome as a visiting artist and in November 2013 anticipates a fellowship at the Liguria Center in Bogliasco, Italy. Her last solo exhibition in 2009, Memory and Oblivion, was held at the Viewing Room in Chelsea, N.Y. Her two most recent group exhibitions: Modest Sublime, ArtHelix in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and an outdoor sculpture exhibition at Sculpture Key West.
