New York, NY
Aishling Labat was born in New York City and raised on the Lower East Side, a fourth generation female photographer she started shooting on the Rolliflex camera that was handed down from her Great-Grandmother.
Aishlings’ photography evolved during her teen years while tenaciously documenting her life through her lens. Aishling rarely sets up a photo, she is about capturing life as it occurs. Gritty, urban, delicate and slightly dark her photos evoke an enduring reaction.
Graduating from Eugene Lang and Parsons in 2011 with honors, Aishling is currently working on abstract and still life photography.
